Update

Ok, so I haven't updated my blog as regularly this past week or so and that's because I'm busily (in every spare minute I can) working on the 2009 Best of Blossie's (a disc containing a PDF file of LOTS and LOTS of our class projects from 2009). So my camera, my computer and I are quite close these days. I think my eyes are going square. 

Here's a peek at just some of Annette's cards from throughout last year that I have to photograph individually, edit and then add info etc:

I'm getting so inspired going through all her cards - they amaze me! Buuuut no time now to create unfortunately! And I got some very happy mail today. Wait until you see what I do with this baby!

Yearly Roundup

I like the idea of doing a layout with lots of photos on it to "sum up" the year. But it freaks me out when I realize just how quickly time goes by . . .

 

There are a few fun things on this layout starting with that cuuuute banner along the bottom of my photos. I (literally) squealed with delight when I discovered that Collections made chipboard banner pieces such as these. And I covered them with scraps in bright, fun colours! And what banner doesn't need pom pom trim!

A word on my photo collage: inspired by this post by Stacy Julian, I challenged myself to chose my 12 photos to sum up 2009 quite fast. I don't think it was under 12 minutes but I didn't agonize over each choice like I would have normally done. And I love them.

Photo collage was made in Photoshop Elements based upon, once again, this post by Cathy Zielske. I'm so glad I learnt how to do this.

Note to self: do layout like this every year.

Another Layout Already?

Could it be?

This layout is a bit of a scrap lift from Nic Howard but I just loved her page and couldn't wait to create my own.

And in my favourite shade of watermelon too! This is another layout that uses a few of my favourite things at the moment such as the flower vine, wide organza ribbon in my favourite shade and Distress Stickles (on the chipboard hearts).
 

And don't you just love the glitter chipboard letters in my title! From Making Memories and the font is the cutest. Also happened to match my bookplate. 

Some of the journaling comes from a blog entry from last month. It does come in handy to record little life snippets here occasionally. 

Fun Times

Just had to share . . . we had a great day at Australia Zoo on Thursday.  And we are soooo lucky we had such an excellent guide studying the map so we never got lost once!

One Little Word For 2010

 
This is my word for 2010.  I have lots that I want to do and acheive this year. And I will only do and achieve them if I commit myself to them. To remind myself to commit and stay commited to my goals, I created this to sit in my scraproom.

Inspiration for this project came from Wendy Smedley's blog. I bookmarked it a while ago and knew that I had to make one some day! With wooden skewers and a hot glue gun, I made it during Amelia's naptime today!

I just love these flowers made with tissue paper and my 1 & 3/4 inch scallop circle punch! So quick and easy to make . . . I made 12 in total (you would probably need less is you used a larger punch).

This gorgeous printed tissue paper (black & white damask and pink & white spots) is from Woolworths. Don't bother going to Taigum or Carseldine Woolies to look for them . . . unless they've restocked he he!
