I have so many photos to share that I'll split them up into a couple of posts. A couple of points:
- No, it's not this tidy all the time . . . I did make sure it was super clean before photographing!
- I have a lot of room in there as my computer, printer and sewing machine aren't there at the moment.
- Yes, I am moving rooms soon - but wanted to show you all anyway.
As you walk into the room, here's what you see:
Of course hidden behind the door is my trusty punch storage:
On the opposite wall to my desk is my Expedit shelves. On one end I have hooks where all my alphabet stickers hang (sorted by colour onto rings):
Here are my shelves. I'm always changing what's stored where on these shelves - It will probably change again soon. At the moment I've tried to put smaller items and more precious items (such as albums all along the top row) up higher and away from little hands:
So starting on the second row (left) I have my alpha rub ons (in a basket cutlery holder) and two binders full of flowers (sorted into colour in plastic pockets from Kaisercraft). Next I have my binders of clear stamps and another cute basket where I keep my stamp cleaners and clear blocks. I'm still to label these binders correctly:
I then have two cubbies with my wood mounted stamps arranged on a clear spice rack. I want to be able to see what stamps I have and hopefully use them more:
This one's still in progress - it has two small boxes containing my photos:
I've switched from boxes to baskets for my main storage now. It's so easy to just pull out the basket and grab whatever I need out. The baskets are from Kmart (they often have baskets discounted too!)
First basket holds ribbon sorted by colour of course:
Next basket holds chipboard shapes. Each clear pocket is labeled with the shapes inside:
Chipboard letters are stored the same way. Each pocket contains one letter or number. I also have a pocket for punctuation and one for brackets (I happen to have just a few!)
The next basket is a favourite! I could do a whole post on it! It holds all my cardmaking supplies such as A5 card and envelopes well as completed cards sorted by category. It makes it sooo easy to see what I have and what I might need:
This basket holds various quote books and notebooks as well as my dictionary etc that I use to cut up and make flowers:
Onto the fourth shelf also using baskets. I have two filled with stamp sets - foam stamps, alphabet stamps etc. All in tackle boxes or document boxes. Amelia loves to pull these boxes out and put them back in and I let her do it as she can't get into them.
I have a basket filled with fabric next. My other sewing supplies aren't in here at the moment but they will be in the new room:
Next are two baskets filled my off the page or alterable items that I've gathered over the years such as mini albums, frames, boxes etc:
Onto the last shelf . These white boxes from Ikea are full of heritage photos, memorabillia etc. Still need to sort them properly and label them:
I have three cubbies filled with magazine holder and magazines. When they get full, they get stored downstairs!
That was a lot of photos wasn't it! And I'll be back with more soon . . .
